As we move into an era of emissions reductions, Energy Performance is likely to gain in
prominence.  The 2008 changes to Capital Allowances increased the emphasis on
sustainability - particularly the Enhanced Capital Allowances scheme for energy saving
equipment and a new category Environmentally Beneficial Allowances.   

Meanwhile the arrival of the Carbon Reduction Commitment Energy Efficiency Scheme
with the attendant cost of carbon allowances to come – will focus future thinking onto
pre-planned energy and tax friendly building improvements.
